  What is powder coating?

Powder coating by Colorcote is a baked coating that is applied onto the substrate with a special spray gun and then cured in an oven to provide a durable decorative finish. While there are hundreds of colour options available, each colour is manufactured as that colour and mixing of colours to create an exact colour match to a ‘non standard’ colour is not possible.

What can be powder coated?

As mentioned previously, Colorcote powder coat has to be oven baked. This requires to item to be coated be able to withstand the baking temperatures of up to 210 degrees Celcius. Due to the baking temperature, the substrates that can be powder coated are limited to metal objects. The design of the object is also a factor to be considered when powder coating is desired.
